Malarkeys Show: Oh What Fun!

Oh what a night it was! Everyone had a great time. We had a great crowd and the energy was electric, to say the least! The guys in Kashmir were very cool people, and we enjoyed their tribute to Led Zeppelin. One of us (S.M.) was having A LOT of fun on the dance floor that night. WOO HOO! Let the good times roll! ;)

This last weekend we finished laying the tracks down for the final three CDs of the upcoming LH release Rock n Roll Chains. We still have a ways to go with mixing, final production, and then manufacturing, but we are getting closer!

Aside from all of this fun stuff, we have more PHOTOS for you including a few photos of the Renomeister (how about a brownie button for that, eh?). So without further delay, here they are....

LH Studio Update: Three More Songs Recorded for New Rock Album

Hey everyone! Well, I know it's been a week, but better late than never. :)
The band laid down the final three tracks for their upcoming CD, "Rock & Roll Chains." John was at the board this week and the songs we recorded include Hitch Hiker, Dreamless Night, and Woman of Another Man. Each of the three tracks have their own distinct style, yet they are all still in the vein of progressive rock music. By the way, this will be Suzette's debut on bass and she will be splitting the bass duties with manager turned bandmate Bob Roberts. In the first two CDs, Suzette was on vocals and flute mainly, but this CD is a different ballgame altogether!

Hell yeah!

Anyway, we tried to get another photo of the Renomeister, but alas, he is as camera shy as EVER. :( Not to fret girls, we have not given up on snapping new Reno shots! We just have to catch him when he is not in one of his "shy" moods. :) We're on the case, ladies! *thumbsup* and a *wink*

Anyway, here are a few photos from this past weekend:

Studio Update

Well, since we don't have any new studio photos or new LH photos today, we thought we would post one of Suzettes' "baby" pictures! o_O lol! ;)

These past few weeks, we have been hard at work practicing three more songs for the studio and they are sounding so good! So far, we have recorded the harder-edged songs from the upcoming rock CD, but we have a few surprises in store for you with some slower creative songs in the vein of rock. We can't wait for you all to hear them and to perform them live. The rock CD is progressing better than we anticipated. YAY!

More news coming soon!

LH Photos

(Reno and Suzette in 2006 on the trip to San Francisco)

Added, per your request, are some more LH photos past and present. Enjoy! The fun and progress continues, as Legend Heart returns to the studio to begin recording the last three songs for the new CD. Much more work than it is known goes into recording a CD. At times very serious and focused, but always fun and interesting. More to come as progress grows :)

Legend Heart at The Hive! A Weekend in Pictures!

This weekend, two very productive recording sessions took place at The Hive recording studio. While the experience was good overall, there were times when tensions were on the rise. I suppose that comes with the territory in the creative process--especially when there are several personality types working to create something together. Regardless, it was a very good experience and there are absolutely no regrets. Bob and his intern, Jon, are kick-ass engineers who had a lot of good input and feedback to offer us. We now have four tracks well on their way to being completed including the song we recorded in the latter part of last year, "Magnetic Mannequin!"

Woo Hoo!

Anyway, here are some photos from this weekend. We just received and added the Reno-meister's photos to the slideshow...Enjoy! :)

LH Happenings: It's Studio Time!

legend-heart, legend heart, rock, true, independent, music, true independent music

Yes, it's true friends. We are in the studio again tomorrow! YAY!

I know many of you are saying, "It's about friggin time!" and I don't blame you. It has been a "long and winding road," but I have to say that I see some good things on the horizon for the band as we begin to perform more often after the release of our two new CDs in 2009.

Our sound continues to evolve and develop day by day, week by week, and month by month. I am looking forward to recording again and looking forward to the opportunities we will be making for ourselves over the next year. I am totally jazzed about this new blog because I know the power it has to bridge connections between people who are getting to know one another.

Tomorrow, I hope to have a recording studio update, so come back soon!

Welcome to Legend Heart's New Blog!

OK! So, we're finally catching up with the times and investing a little time in setting up this blog to keep friends up to date with what is going. This weekend we're in the studio recording for our upcoming third CD. We have had some personnel changes within the band, but all in all, the changes are very positive.

In the latter part of last year, we said goodbye to our old friend and band mate James Wyatt who passed away. For those of you who are just getting to know us, he played bass on our debut album "Legend Heart." He was a phenomenal bassist and a wonderful person.

Last year had some highlights for us, as well. We finally found a drummer who is not only very talented, but who is also a great person and a good friend. We performed at Super Saturday over at the Evergreen State College, and we recorded the first song of our upcoming CD. This will be our third CD and it will be Masons' debut performance with us. We are totally excited about how this CD will turn out. The first song we recorded turned out better than we anticipated. :)

Well, that's it for now! Stay tuned for more band news!
